Toyota has just announced a significant expansion of new items for its Gazoo Racing Heritage Parts program. Most cover the FJ40 Land Cruiser and, surprisingly, the A70 Supra. However, the AE86, A80 Supra, and 2000GT also get some love. The latter three receive fewer, but major, hardware in this significant update.
The FJ40 Land Cruiser gets the bulk of the new parts, which is no surprise. It was just welcomed to the Heritage Parts program last August, and this represents the first batch of parts for the venerable 4×4.
The A70 Supra gets a lot of common wear parts, like cables, suspension arm bushings, and the catalytic converter. Hardware items are not as prevalent, perhaps because there are so many bits interchangeable with other Toyota models of the era.
The A80 Supra receives only two parts in this update, a the front upper suspension arms, and key cylinder and key for the ignition and door locks.
The AE86’s gets some pretty significant bits for the drivetrain, including the 4.3 ratio final and pinion gear for the diff, differential companion flange, and transmission input shaft. The good news is that some of these parts can probably be used in earlier Corollas and Sprinters equipped with the T50 transmission as well.
The 2000GT’s updates are fairly significant — clutch disc and cover, gears and shafts for the transmission. Added to what’s been released already, you can basically rebuild its entire transmission.
All the parts will be released in the coming months of 2022, some not until late August. Importantly, they will be all available in the US, typically a couple of months after their Japanese debut. As always, if there are parts you need, you can make requests directly to the Heritage Parts program via a form on the Gazoo Racing website.

40 series of J40 is more correct as it does not exclude the diesels which had either B or H engines (made by Hino btw). All the BJ40, BJ42, BJ43, BJ44 and BJ46 variants and HJ45 and HJ47 variants feel left out.
That’s really cool! I mean people FIGHT at the junkyard for AE86 parts! Moreso for the AE86 specific stuff like body panels and what not. But something is way better than nothing.
Just looking at some of the A70 supra stuff and holy moly, the Land Cruiser… I mean I’m jealous knowing The F31 will never get that kind of love!
I’m a parts guy for a truck shop that works on big trucks mainly. We do work a few light duty vehicles, mainly GM & Ford light trucks and IMO General Motors is the world’s worst in obsoleting parts for many of their older vehicles still on the road; also IMO Toyota is one of the best OEMS to keep parts available for their older models but we all know Toyotas are made to a higher standard
