SSR is re-releasing deep-dish versions of the MkI, MkII, and MkIII

Speedstar Racing is re-releasing deep-lip sizes of three beloved wheels from its back catalog: the SSR MkI, MkII, and MkIII. Each will be available in very negative offsets and A-, B-, and C-type inner barrels. The only size that will be offered will be 14 inches, which many would say is the only proper diameter anyway. Only 600 units will made, cumulatively, for all three designs.

Speedstar was born in 1971 when the MkI became the first 3-piece developed in Japan.  The company began manufacturing wheels for Formula 2 in 1975 and brought the technology built for the track to Japan’s wheel aftermarket. All three designs have become celebrated models for the tuning scene.

The re-release sees width ranging from 8.5J to 12.0J, with offsets that span from -6 all the way to an insane -51. Colors can be had with the standard Titanium (silver), gold, gunmetal, red, orange, and black. However, two more limited edition colors can be had with this run, Meteor Gold and Meteor Bronze.

Prices range from ¥68,200 ($430 USD) to ¥90,200 (90,200) depending on size. Exchange rates are in our favor right now, and you’d better act fast when orders begin April 24 because we’ve seen these releases sell out in five hours.
