We hope you have some time to kill because Kyuusha Maniacs is a Japanese blog with tons of JDM brochure scans going back to the 1950s. We stole this pic of from a 1971 Toyota Crown Sedan and Hardtop brochure, but there are plenty more with great artwork.

Oh damn! Thank you for ruining my day… Now I have to sit all day in the office and be tempted to read all those pages! Still 6 hours to go till the end of the workday… π
Great find btw! π
Fantastic! i love searching ebay for brochures. now i have something to do at work also! what a great collection.
Thats OK Banpei, I found your blog a couple days ago and spent a whole day at work working hard reading through that. Looks like another day wasted!
Awesome… love the 810 stuff. Super rare! Would love to see some G6 stuff….
That’s a great find, but wow, those pictures are tiny. Most are 400 pixels wide, with a few at 440. If you follow the link from that site to this one: http://www.wald-licht.com/~oldcar/index.html , it has all the same brochures, with most being 600 pixels wide. Far from hi-res, but at least they’re a bit bigger.
To continue banpei’s rant, Garsh Dernit!!!! Now I have to go to work and stare at hundreds of bland boring new cars, when I could be at home slobering all over my computer!
My,goodness! Now that’s just downright erotic! π
werd!!!!!
i effin dig the R100 brochure!
ive always wanted a wagon!
ever since i attended the 1st JCCS!!!!!!
the corona one took my pop back to the fuel shortage days in the 70s.
hahaha
nice!!! XD
Cool steering wheel on the Galant! Also, that ’71 Suzuki looks suspiciously like an old Honda. 2000gt is sleek! Like an old E-type Jag, only better looking!
Yay, I love old brochures!
Some interesting old stuff, but my why-can’t-we-have-that-here prize goes to the brand new Legacy Touring Wagon…so much sleeker than the slightly awkward sedan and up-in-the-sky Outback.
Loving the 2000gt one
The Nissan Sunny Vanette looks like the base idea for the Autobots.. Ratchet and Ironhide. π
Phew, thank god someone got ’em down to 400 pixels wide. We won’t have monitors big enough for 640 pixels until next year, 1990.
Is it somehow against the law in Japan to post decent sized pictures on a website? I’ve been searching through a number of Japanese car websites for years and hardly any of them have decently sized pictures.
I’d love to be able to read some of the specs on the 810 or what-not in those brochures.
The Toyota 2000GT is still something special after all these years. When I was in high school the family runaround for the kids was a Mitsubishi Starwagon. I’ll never forget the holidays we used to take in it. The roof was higher than this one though, and had a big built in sliding sunroof.
