Honda has been serving up a steady stream of videos documenting the restoration of the Serial One N600, the first Honda car built for the US market. The good news is that the videos have been getting longer, so we can see our buddy Tim Mings at work, doing what he does best.
Perhaps our favorite part yet occurs in this last video, in which Tim holds up a recently powdercoated part. “No one will ever see that part again,” he says, “but if it’s restored like it was new, this is gonna be there for another 50 years.” That’s the level of dedication that make him the top Honda 600 restorer in the world.
I am excited to see the finished product and know it was done right.
Working seven days a week on it to make sure it’s ready for JCCS!
Thank you, sir! You are a true craftsman!
I hope it’s not too sacreligeos to mention here, but did you see the modded N600 with the CBR1000 engine that sold on BaT a little while back? It was pretty cool but so is this. Keep up the great work!
That was ccrunners one
It was a VFR800 motor
I was just wondering how this was coming along. JCCS? Oooooohhhhhh – I can’t make it this year.
