It may be AE86 Jr., but when the holidays come the Toyota 86 prefers to spend time with its great grandpa, the Sports 800. A picture perfect family reunion, or is this Toyota telling us, “Hey, we made a front-engined, rear-wheel-drive, boxer-powered sports car 50 years ago!”? Watch the video below.
and of course about 90% of the people in america that purchase the “86” will never know OR care about the sports 800.. cool vid.
Too bad the clip didn’t have a little more of the AE86…
Too much 86, not enough Yota-Hachi. 😛
*like
Cool !!
(Does need more AE86, in the video).
The Sports 800 didn’t get much airtime….Boo.
In all fairness, they are trying to promote a new product. And a lovely one at that.
I what percentage of these will be stuffed into trees in its first year. I’d say 40+%
if I get hit by one of these spoiled talentless teens thats will be “drifting” everywhere I’ll be extremely pissed.
It sucks you can’t make a cheap rwd car like this anymore because of the initial D generation. Ruined rwd cars for everyone.
