This is no April Fools joke. JNC is at the New York Auto Show, going on now, and while the 2016 Maxima hasn’t been unveiled yet Nissan’s designers did lift its skirt to give us an exclusive peek at the headlight. Notice anything? Those who owned or aspired to a 1988-94 Maxima back in the day will remember the “4DSC,” or 4-Door Sports Car moniker. The Maxima has grown a lot in the 28 years since, but Nissan is trying to bring back a lighter, sportier version of its top sedan.
Here is the original sticker, a factor decal applied to the window of of the third-gen Maxima. We’ll have more on the 2016 Maxima at its unveiling tomorrow morning, 9:55am Eastern Time.
Just a friendly correction , the last decal you posted was actually applied on the third gens. 4th gens were 95-99.

🙂
You’re right. I can’t count!
So what do you guys go while you’re not roaming the floor of the show?
Processing photos, writing posts, and trying to charm tight-lipped PR guys and designers for inside info.
Try alcohol! 🙂 (On the PR reps and designers, that is!)
Rip off that 4DSC unless it’s a STICKSHIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sure a CVT is the only option…
ACK! CVTs are still too weird. I actually PREFER the feel of an automatic shifting. Been in a CVT (Sentra) and an electric (I-Miev), and they just have this golf-cart quality about them.
The ONLY vehicle I ever drove that I liked with it was an ’89(?) Justy.
STILL want a proper 3-pedal DRIVER’s space though.
“4-Door Sports Car”
LOL, that’s an oxymoron when you’re talking about a Maxima.
