Time to dig out your Zodiac shoes, Guess jeans and bolo tie, because Martin Scorcese is producing yet another period film about the ethnic gangs of New York City. This time, the period is the 1980s and the setting is Chinatown. Revenge of the Green Dragons being filmed right now and footage taken at the set reveals period correct automobiles including a Honda Accord and a very 80s RA64 Toyota Celica on what appear to be black-painted stock wheels.
These cars appear to be used as getaway vehicles for some of the gang members, though no driving is seen being filmed. Scorcese cuts no corners when it comes to props, costumes and cars of his films’ eras, so it’ll be very exciting to see how these cars are put to use in the movie. The release date is scheduled for 2014.
But the cars also need Pioneer stereos.
Cool, i like the way it looks, hope the movie turns out, doubt i’ll watch though.
To me the wheels look like the stock steelies painted black and with trim rings.
Yup, we reckon you are correct!
That looks EXACTLY like my car when I bought it. Stock steelies black with trim rings. But I replaced them with Supra wheels, kept the steelies stored in the barn just in case 🙂
