Located in Fletcher, North Carolina, this Hakosuka is the third C10 Nissan Skyline GT-R to be offered at auction in seven months. Rare in its absence of what has become known as the “hako wing,” it has been offered, notably, on eBay and in online classified ads rather than high-end auction house, by the very same seller who set a record in Monterey last year with the $242,000 Hako.
The importer is G&S Motors, which, from what we gather by looking at the vehicular stable in the background — consisting of everything from vintage Ferraris to Alfas to Astons to Lotuses to an Acura NSX — are members of the new wave of traditional collectors who have turned to JNCs as the next boom in the classic car market.
In fact, G&S appears to have two more Hakosuka Skylines, at least one other Fairlady Z432, and a Mazda Cosmo Sport.
With an odometer reading less than 33,000 miles and a claimed outstanding originality, the “Buy it Now” price of$200,000 seems like a fair price. Factor in the legwork already done to source this rather rare machine from Japan via agent, and the fact his other KPGC10 hardtop sold for $242,000 in Monterey, and it’s a reasonable levy for an increasingly sought after car.
The seller admittedly is a latecomer to the JNC market compared to the average reader here, but is very much ahead of the game when it comes to traditional collectors. “It was always my intention to sell that 2door at a high profile auction and establish these cars on the worldwide market as a serious collectible.” the auction says. Clearly it is not aimed at the Instagram, rolled-up jeans crowd, but hey, there will always be clones. You can view the auction here on eBay.
This car is over priced by about $75,000… There was a super clean 4 door with a perfect S20 engine that just sold at the RM auction in the U.S. for $87k. Prices are dropping fast…
Here is the website and the pics of the car that sold for $87k. In my opinion, anyone who pays over about $125-$135k for this car will lose money..

Crack pipe.
Is it my imagination, of are there a LOT more “kidney cars” coming on-line in the past couple of months?
Hmm seems like I have driven this car
Ooh a bit of hate at the end of the article there. Sorry bro didn’t realise writing for a website pays you enough to buy a genuine hako and therefore judge.
JNC has finally gotten the snobbery that other car cultures have.
Or does hating on Drifters and “HerraFrush” count?
It’s called jokes. We’ve covered TONS of clones here, so any judgement is purely your perception.
