You know that work of art we posted a couple of weeks ago? Here’s what it looks like on the outside. The Honda 1300 Coupe 9 was Old Soichiro’s front-wheeled, air-cooled, quad-carbed answer to the Toyota Corona and Nissan Bluebird, and now it can be yours. There looks to be the typical points of rust on the rear quarter panels and the bottom of the fenders near the rocker panels, but $5500 isn’t a bad price to have the only Honda guaranteed to be without a twin at the next Hot Import Nights. More pics after the jump.

While well worth a kidney, at this price it really wouldn’t be necessary. If I had the cash right now, this would end up in my driveway. It is easily the car that most shows the genius of Soichiro Honda and that alone makes it a truly lust worthy machine.
“have the only Honda guaranteed to be without a twin at the next Hot Import Nights.”
Correction: The ONLY Honda at the next Hot Import Nights that will get you chicks without breaking the bank.
i really wish i had the cash and the space. me being a honda fan boy, would love to own this piece of history in my stable.
Who do I contact about possibly purchasing this car? Is it located in the states?
Hot Import Nights wouldn’t understand this awesome piece of history! I think it would be a waste of time to take it to shows other than JCCS, Motoring J Style or Norm Reeves. I could easily see this thing at the New Year meeting also. Someone should grab this and the Mazda Luce R130 In Oz, and be part of an elite group of enthusiasts who get the luxury of the rest of the world drooling on their doorsteps!
Good enough for the Jalopnik Fantasy Garage, good enough for me.

This thing has been for sale off and on for nearly two years now. In fact, I swear it was posted on the JNC blog before- if not, certainly on the forum. Neat car.
Some lucky bastard already nabbed it. I was calling my bank too.
TommyJ: Dang, too bad. I hope it goes to a good home.
According to TommyJ (and my wife), I’m a lucky bastard. I’ve been following this car for awhile and it just got too cheap not to buy it. Actually, I consider myself extra lucky since there’s already a Honda 1300 Coupe 9S sitting in my garage.
Myron: What are you gonna do with all these Coupe nines? Post some pics of your collection in the forum please. We want to see them!
Yes..please do post. Congrats on the purchase!
