As if there were any more reasons to go to the 19th annual Japanese Classic Car Show this year, an exclusive diecast car that will only be available at the show has been announced. It’s a highly detailed 1/64 scale Nissan Skyline R32 with Advan livery and widebody kit designed by tuner culture godfather Jon Sibal. Oh, and we also have a special coupon code for JCCS tickets below.
The base car is made by Tarmac Works, known for their detailed models with realistic proportions. With flared fenders, GT wing, and iconic Advan colors, it’s a textbook confluence of what’s popular among today’s “JDM” car collectors. A thusfar undisclosed and very limited chase edition will also be available by random drawing at the Tarmac Works booth.
Designer Jon Sibal, who has created many award-winning SEMA show cars and has a long career in brining tuner style and culture to the automotive mainstream, will be at JCCS as a special guest. Additionally, John Lambert, founder of the diecast news site Lamley Group will be a special guest at the show as well. More details to come.
JNC readers can use the coupon code “JNC5” for a $5 discount on show tickets. Admission is $20 in advance on the JCCS website, $25 at the gate (though the code will only work via online sales). The show will be held at Marina Green in Long Beach, California on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
