Back in the day, Isuzu wasn’t shy about doing outlandishly extreme commercials for its sometimes mundane products. This reaches a zenith with these commercials for the mid 80s Forward truck. More after the jump.
And here’s something a little different….
The last one says “Tiger”. It does not appear to be an Isuzu. The smallest Isuzu would be the Elf (N Series in the US?), which would be bigger than a kei class truck. Unless that is a flat bed on the back of an older model Como van.
Haha… I should upload the vid I have on my phone where I got stuck in snow and ice with the company’s Isuzu truck.
Actually, that last video actually features a Suzuki Carry Kei Truck
^ yes that’s why we said it’s “different” 🙂
Now that is classic!! Different!!!!
I love the freeze shot of the 2nd video!
Regarding the first vid, how is that possible? Surely some Hollywood style visual trickery was employed, no?
well I don’t know about visual trickery, I think I’d just load up the rearmost 6 foot of the truck floor with about 10 tons of iron weights, very tightly strapped down. Then it’d pop a wheelie with just a sniff of torque.
