Everyone knows that the Honda Motocompo was designed to stow neatly in the back of the Honda City. As it happens, it also fits so perfectly into the trunk of an NSX that it almost seems intentional, despite the supercar arriving decade after the City’s 1981 debut. And then it took until 2026 for someone to figure this out.
That someone is a UK-based NSX owner named Chris Scott. Recently Scott was with his fellow Honda enthusiast buddy and owner of a City (or Jazz, as they call it in Britain) with a Motocompo. Why not test it out? The result was flawless, with the Motocompo’s wheels straddling the NSX’s wide U-shaped trunk.
Naturally, you’d have to fold down the handlebars and seat, and even so the fit seems rather tight. With the Motocompo weighing in at 93 pounds dry (99 with fuel), it seems like a backbreaking exercise, especially if you don’t want to damage any fingers or parts of the NSX’s trunk liner. Nevertheless, now the world knows that in a pinch it can be done. And it only took 35 years to realize.
