You know the BMW Art Cars, Chicago’s Cows on Parade and Washington DC’s Pandamania, right? In 2008 the venerable Honda Super Cub had its 50th birthday, and to celebrate Honda gave 60 of these best-selling bikes — one for each million sold — to artists for customizing. It was called the Love Cub 50 project, and the bikes were on display at museums in Japan. Now they are being auctioned off on Yahoo Japan with proceeds going to UNICEF. Pics of the bikes currently available for bidding after the jump.

Ooooh, so many to choose from! I like the Ultraman one, the Honda R&D Center one, and the Tsuchyia one!
I didn’t even realize that was Ultraman! Which one is R&D and which one is Tsuchiya?
I like the green/tan one, the color scheme looks very vintage and appropriate, even though it wasn’t available on the original Cub.
That two-tone brown one with the red seat needs a place in the garage by my ’82 Supercub 70. The Little Cubs look kind of silly with the those 14 wheels instead of 17’s.
Nice one. Linked you on JDMstyletuning.com. Hope you don’t mind.
Mind? We unashamedly whore ourselves to any and all links!
The Tsuchyia one isn’t in these pics, but I saw it on the Love Cub 50 project page here:

That two-tone brown w/ the red seat is the Honda R&D one =D
green on green for me, though with silver engine. Assuming these are current models they look classic!
I like the brown on black with red seats, and the one with tartan, stars, & stripes!
a freind of my brother’s has a 72 honda trail bike has the mirrors on it with original blue paint job. real cool bike!
