And now for your viewing pleasure, a lowrider 1980 Nissan President. An amalgam of Japano-American style created in the UK. It exchanged hands on eBay for £2,750 (or $4,268 USD) recently, which seems like quite a small amount of dead presidents for a sweet ride like this. Happy Presidents’ Day, enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll be back to your regularly scheduled JNC tomorrow.
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!?!
Why? To piss off the purists, that’s why.
I’d prefer a stock President, but this one is surprisingly tasteful (it easily could have been fitted with blacked-out windows, 30″ Dubs, and an underbody lighting kit).
…..except it’s imitating a Lowrider. Which is kinda bad for a car like this.
Agreed. I’m just saying as far as lowriders are concerned, it’s not quite as bad as it could have been.
I’m just glad it isn’t in Houston. Anything with even remotely boxy styling here is fair game, from full on pimpmobile lowrider Olds Cutlass Cieras to rusty Town Cars with $14,000 30″ rims (two-and-a-half-foot rims, that’s no exaggeration. The car was so ridiculous I had to look up the wheels online and they go for $3500 each). I’ve even seen a surprising number of decade-old Toyota Camrys fitted with vinyl tops and fake Cadillac grilles. The first President, Debonair, or Century to show up on the Texas market that isn’t snatched up by a collector is going to have terrible things done to it.
i saw the car in person……..its a great looking one.
the whole lowride theme dont fit on it, but……everything works and the car can drive without trouble unlike the most other Lowriders that ive seen so far.
iam only curious about the v8 in it……
Why don’t you take a look at my corona mk11 I just finished the ride and its seems that they are hard to find
haha, that car is sick!
