Cars that were once plentiful for under $1,000 are now worth big bucks. For those that have them, congrats. For those that don’t, hopefully you’ll get the chance to drive one someday. Happy 8/6 Day from JNC!

I always regret not buying a Corolla GTS 16 Valve back in the day when they were new. Such a pity that Toyota doesn’t offer a comparable car now.
(confused 86/BRZ noises.)
Well, I can understand. Part of the allure of the AE86 is that 7,000-RPM wail. The new car sounds…loke a Subaru. Low, boomy.
Not to mention that the Subaru engine will be lucky to get to 80,000 miles on the same head gaskets, while a proper Toyota (or Honda for that matter) can take you to 250,000 and beyond.
This is why I didn’t buy the FRS.
