Today is Ugly Truck Day, except the 1981 Datsun 720 King Cab GL was anything but. With an elegant shade of 80s brown and a stripe kit to die for, it was a beaut. Plus the GL trim had amenities like a bucket seats, a 5-speed transmission, and flip up “skyroof.” Matched with a twin-spark NAPS-Z engine, it was perfect for a post-0il-shortage world. Happy 720 Day from JNC!
