We know being trapped at home can be boring, and not all of us can use this time in the garage. Luckily, here’s another JNC-themed way to liven up the quarantine and possibly occupy any kids that are climbing the walls for a few hours: baking some delicious car-shaped cookies.
A few years ago we tried our hand at AE86-shaped cookies for Christmas, but in truth they don’t hold a candle to these shapes from the aptly named Car Cookie Cutters. We’re not sure who the brains behind this operation are, but whomever it is definitely has excellent taste in automobiles.
A variety of makes and models abounds, and the cutters have edges at different depths and thicknesses. As a result, the dough cutouts are quite detailed, not just a simple outlines of the cars. Look at the D-pillar vents, wheel wells, and off-road tires of this FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser, for example.
There are a wide variety of cars, but there’s clearly some bias towards Nihon steel (not that we’re complaining). It’s not just the typical models like Zs and Land Cruisers, either. There are models that are relatively obscure, like the EF Honda Civic and Mitsubishi Starion. The creator(s) are definitely enthusiasts.
If cars aren’t your thing, car company logos and racetracks are also on offer. It’s something that can be fun for the whole family, or just yourself if you want to eat yourself into a coma.
Below are some of our other favorites.
