Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III, blobeye Subaru WRX STi expand collector menu in Gran Turismo 7

The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 arrived on June 29 and it comes with long-time Japanese AWD rivals. The car we’re most excited for is the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III, the last of the Evos that to the untrained eye could still be mistaken for an ambitiously modified Mirage. Its nemesis comes in the form of a blobeye Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

With the addition of the two rally-bred sports sedans, the game opens up two new Extra Menu items in the Gran Turismo Café. This is a new feature for the series introduced with Gran Turismo 7, encouraging players to build up their garages with themed groups of vehicles. Examples include Honda Type R cars or Mazda rotary engined cars.

Now players can try to complete the Subaru WRX Collection and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Collection as well. You need to be at collector level 26 and 30, respectively, to complete these menu items. It’s a neat feature that tickles the dream garage builder fancy in all of us. We probably spend as much time curating our stables as we do racing. Also joining the party is an Aston Martin Valkyrie, if you’re into that sort of thing.
