Not particularly beloved when new, The Cressida has gained a second life as a drift missile, zokusha sled, and bona fide classic. Happy MX73 Day from JNC!
Each time I looked at this Cressida I remember my 83 Super Saloon Crown I used to own in Kuwait!!!
I think this was the best looking Cressida. The MX83 successor was too bland, but the rounded look was the thing in the early 90’s (’89 actually), e.g. Mazda 929.
Drift missile? ugh, no. Zokusha sled? I can see that.
Agreed. The styling of the MX83 is everything good about ’80s boxy styling while the less tasteful aspects that sometimes accompany a box are absent.
I meant the styling of the MX73. Darn fat-fingering!
Agreed. I think more people are starting to appreciate the X73 for it’s crisp ’80s lines.
I love Cressida Wagons! Clean & boxy…
I love them too. That’s why I bought one. (That one in the pic is my exact car)
A man great taste!
