Toyota has announced that it’s reissuing the dashboard for the A80 Supra, via its Gazoo Racing Heritage parts Program. Officially the part is called the instrument panel stretching from A-pillar to A-pillar with a center section that extends down to connect to the center console. It won’t be an identical replica of the original part, though.
Dashboards are known to degrade over time due to sun exposure and remain a common problem area with older cars. Due to the intense and prolonged heat, plastic dashboards can easily warp or crack. That’s why Toyota is remaking the dashboard with modern materials that should be more resistant to damage.
Visually, the part will be indistinguishable from the original. Toyota says it even faithfully replicated the texture of the embossed grain finish, taking care to maintain even the grain orientation. It should also have a flawless OEM fitment as well.
The dash will be sold in Japan through GR Garage showrooms, Toyota dealerships, and JMS locations. There have been no information on whether it will be available in the US, but it looks like for now that there’s only a RHD option. It goes on sale in autumn of 2026.
We hope that Toyota chooses to reissue LHD dashboards as well. A perpetual weak point on any older vehicle, there are many Toyotas that could benefit from reissued dashboards, from 1970s Celicas and Corollas all the way up to Lexus IS300s and many enthusiast vehicles in between. Toyota decides which parts to remake based on requests from customers and intends to continue doing so. If you’d like to make a request, you can fill out a form on Toyota’s website.
