Japan’s cherry blossom bloom began on March 19, and today, March 20, is the officially the first day of spring. The sakura symbolize not only new beginnings, but due to their brief window in full bloom, the fleeting nature of life. Consider this your reminder that life is short, so dust off that Toyota Crown Wagon and go for a drive. Or organize your garage, or pull out that project and get wrenching, or go to a car show. There’s a lot of cherry blossoms in my corner of London, for some reason.
