Reminder: Motoring J Style This Weekend

For those of you spread around this vast nation of ours, we just wanted to let you know that not all vintage Japanese car events are in SoCal. In fact, some are in NorCal. Check out Motoring J Style this Saturday, May 24. The day of Japanese automotive fun will kick off at 9:30 at the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo, just north of San Francisco. Events include drifting and rallying demos, a guest appearance by BRE legends Peter Brock and John Morton, and lots of nostalgics on display. Also, we’ve got a reliable source telling us that a JNC booth will be on the premises. Be there or be square, mon frére!

Oh, but SoCal will still have something going on: San Diego Meet and Cruise. Man, they have it good!

  1. Looks like a cool show from the 2007 gallery pictures

  2. Oyaji Gaijin says:

Will it be as historically accurate as their website:
    http://motoringjstyle.blogspot.com/2007/11/isuzu-returns-to-international.html
“Isuzu Returns to International Motorsports Competition!… …Ok, so the title is a bit of a misnomer. There will be no grand return to the winner’s circle. Why? Well, for starters, Isuzu never saw a winner’s circle, ever.”

Someone should have mentioned this to Alistair Stewart, Arthur Treloar, Barry Ferguson, Colin Bond, Bruce Darke, Don James, Mike J. Donnegan, Shigeteru, Jiro Yoneyama, Pertti Kärhä, Heimo Poutala, Osmo Mäkelä, Erkki Nyman, Harras Lindroos, Teuvo Saartela, Yoneyama, Nishino, Tsuzumi, Omari, Shimizu, Jos F. da Silva, Armando F. da Silva, Tachio Yonemura, Shigeki Asaoka, Syougo Oomori, Gregg Young, Tomohiko, Junichiro Kasuya, David Seldon, Gary Leggatt, Bernie McClure, David Langman, Jim Faneco, Gary Rowe, Ken Price, Ian Wells, Mal Smith, Mal Owen, Shigeo Kaneko, Masanari Hunakoshi, Hideo Kameda, Hanaduka, Hideo Kameda, Hanaduka, Kazuo Aiba Tadashi, Takashi Kawashima, Yoshihiro Odashima, Kiyohumi Oti, Kazumasa Shimada, Hisashi Suzuki…………………………… and so on (that is just 1966 through September 1980 in international competition).

So maybe Motoring J-Style will have some really nice Skoda, Seat, and Trabant cars to represent Japan, with the same accuracy as his bolg.
