It’s that time of year again. As one journey through the calendar ends and another begins, we are confronted with the unrelenting march of time. What will you accomplish in the next 365 days? Personally, I am finally going to build my dream garage, something I’ve been waiting decades for. My wife and I found our forever home a while back, and it’s time to create a space that will hold my cars and all the parts and automobilia that accumulate as a result. I’ll write periodic updates and solicit ideas. Sometimes the mere act of putting a goal in writing will help shepherd it along.
What’s your new year’s resolution for 2026?
The most entertaining comment by next week will receive a prize. Scroll down to see the winner of last week’s QotW, “What will you gift your car next?“.
We absolutely love the fact that our readers are so dedicated to their cars. Several had wheels at the top of their lists. All we can say is that Sedanlover and TheJWT s S130 Toyota Crowns are very lucky cars indeed.
Meanwhile, Bryan Kitsune‘s ST165 Celica will find coilovers under the tree, Ian G.‘s Miata will find some stocking stuffers for the interior, and Lavender Null will use acres of wrapping paper for a body kit and tires.
Sadly, sometimes the holidays can be tough times as well. Random Rascal‘s ride must forgo a gift due to economic concerns, but as StreetSpirit and Franxou have said, you can also give a car some love, attention and time, all of which are free.
For the first time in QotW history, we couldn’t decide on a clear winner, so this week we have two. We love Paul Markie‘s laundry list of presents for his perfectly named Datsun 280Z, and the fact that he’ll complete the project with father-son time warmed our hearts this winter. Equally ambitious was Dutch 1960, who is scrambling to restore an IMSA GTU RX-7 for a big event next summer. We bid both of you ganbatte!
Omedetou, your comment has earned you a set of decals from the JNC Shop!
