Mazda Rotaries at New Zealand Summerdrags


Hey Mazdafarians, we just got this in from Kiwi Bureau: photos from last weekend’s Mazda Rotary Summerdrags in New Zealand. Yes, while we’re huddled by the fireplace for warmth in the dead of winter, Nee Zeelanders are enjoying nice warm summer weather, because the Earth is round, or something like that.

    Is that a R100 wagon about a third of the way down the page? Did they import these to the ‘States? Super Cool Pics all around! And congrats to Mazdaspeed and Evil Genius for the hard work at Thunderhill!

    I think they did import them, but not as R100s. Probably called them “1300”s or something, without the rotary.

    The R100 was imported to the states but are super rare and very few specimens survived
