Honda N Concept 4 is your retro N360 kei car

With all the hubbub surrounding the Toyota 86, another car banking on the nostalgia of its predecessor was largely overlooked at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Honda N Concept 4 is a near-production-ready evolution of the Honda EV-N from 2009.

Although it’s neither electric nor as button-cute as the previous iteration, the N Concept 4 does draw heavily on the design of the 1967 Honda N360 and N600. It was one of the least talked-about cars, and no official photos or specs were issued. However, Honda made it known that it was launching a whole series of N-branded cars into Japan’s hotly contested kei car market. As such, it is expected to have a 660cc motor with a max output of 63 horsepower (64 PS). The production version is expected to go on sale in the autumn of 2012.

  2. This is the most stylish K-car i’ve ever seen! also it’s the first car out of japan that has the new-gen-mustang kind of retro-style – A modern interpretation of a classic car, without going too far away fron those classic shapes and lines! love it! bist car i’ve seen from honda in a real long while! great :)

I’d be excited if it were electric. But it’s just meh. This could seriously compete with the VW Up! though.

The blacked out grille makes it look like the Hamburglar. Cute but sinister, in a good way. This looks like it’d be the perfect city car.

  6. I need more pictures, but it seems only the front end is neo retro. Rest of the car looks like standard kei-car. As such, I’m nearly sure it won’t be exported anywhere.
