The “Street” by Hayashi Racing is a favorite among collectors of old school barrels. Now the company is updating the classic design in a 17-inch size called the Hayashi Street STL.
The cars targeted for the new fitments are all hugely popular in Japan. Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ owners can now run 7.5J+35 and +43 in a 5×100 bolt pattern.
Toyota Prius owners can deck out their hybrid fuel sippers with 7.5J+43 in a 5×114.3 bolt pattern.
And finally, the new Prius C won’t be left out with 6.5J+42 in a 4×100 lug pattern. The
Hayashi even made some stickers for the launch, limited to the first 100 orders. Shallow offsets and the elongated spokes may take some getting used to, but if you absolutely must get matching shoes for your classic and your daily driver, this is one solution.
These follow on the heels of the new 17-inch Volk TE37V and other old school revivals like the Work Meister CR01 and the Enkei Classic Series.

those rims are GLORIOUS!! so beautiful and simple in design. If they make a prius look sporty, imagine what they do for other cars. and now I want a set.
I think I like the Watanabes better, but these are still epic, especially the irony factor of putting them on a Prius.
They look horrible on the 86 but work on the prius for some reason
I completely agree they look HORRID on that 86, but could almost pass as dealer option on the Prius.

They look stunning on that AE, with the aggressive offset and width of course. What I meant by ’86’ was the FR-S, I guess I ended up calling it 86 because it was referenced as the Toyota 86 to begin with 😛
Its about time more wheel makers realize” hey people are paying alot of money for the wheels we made 20 years ago, maybe we should just make some more of them since people still like them!”, i like these wheels. Most new wheels on the market today are just ugly and i dont see them lasting the test of time.
Yeah, but only if they make them the same way. The new Enkei 92 are a complete disappointment to me, being a one-piece cast wheel instead of a two-piece like the original; it’s more of a knock-off than a reissue…
and dont forget they cost twice^^
Most wheels 20 years ago didn’t stand the test of time either- we only remember a handful of them. The others are regarded as time machines or relics.
I personally don’t think Hayashi Streets look good on many cars made after 1987, but that’s just me. Great to see they’re more available now, though.
Get these on a Camry 97′ and up.

It doesn’t really float my boat. It’s not because of the cars it’s mounted on, it’s because Hayashi Streets without a nice lip look like hubcaps whether they’re on an AE86 or FRS.

Now that rota makes these and they are call shakotans I have been liking these less. Unless they are in a good offset. too bad the sizing on the FRS pictured, looks very weak. what are they plus 86?
