Hot Wheels is at long last making a Subaru Impreza 22B STi, and it looks incredible. The car has been translated extremely well into 1:64 scale, with an extremely high level of detail in the front fascia, especially the grille and headlight area, the lower grille and foglamps, and vents and scoops of the hood. Naturally, it comes in metallic blue paint with gold wheels, a stunning miniature representation of Subaru’s beloved rally machine.
The first photos were released on the Hot Wheels Dream Team Instagram account, and the astounding detail continues onto the back, with a beautifully sculpted spoiler. In small scale, it can be difficult to accentuate subtle curves like the widened fenders and skirts, but the designers at Mattel have captured the aggressive look of the original wonderfully. Details such as the pink STi logo in the grille and multi-colored taillights really round out the model, and the wheel fitment is perfect. This model will be the first car to appear in the 2020 mainline, and is certain to be a hit. If we were Mattel we’d be worried about running out of blue paint.

No side graphics and those headlights are the ones that got me excited on this and oh no to mention that nice looking blue.
how will Hot Wheels version fair against the Tomica?
It’s probably a toss-up. The casting looks better, but Tomica has the correct wheels on it.
