It ain’t easy finding an all-original 1985 Corolla GT-S. Most have either been drifted to death or abused in grocery getter duty for 25-plus years. Searching for them is a pain too, as many sellers simply list them as a “Toyota Corolla” without distinguishing the AE86 from lesser, front-wheel-drive NUMMI Novas. But here on eBay we have a one-owner, never-modified hachiroku.
Of course, all-original does not mean mint, and this car does show signs of 143,000 miles’ worth of use. However, unless you’re delivering tofu to a mountaintop hotel every day the stout 4AGE should still rev to 7500rpm without drama. Besides, how many unmolested AE86s are left out in the wild? No more than a handful, we reckon. This car does come with the optional LSD and a lifetime’s worth of maintenance records too. It’s currently located in salt-free Mississippi, but if you go see it check for signs of water damage from Hurricane Katrina.

This car has been on the market for a LONG time. I’ve seen it while scouring craigslist many times. I’m sure it has been on the market for 6 months, maybe nearly a year. The price has been the same; $5,995.

Gosh darn it. I wish I had my hands on an 86 in such good condition to start a build with instead of the ’84 SR5 with the dented in roof and whatnot that I currently have… Oh well, at least mine was free.
