Kidney, Anyone? 1972 Datsun 1200

Datsun 1200s of any condition are rare enough, but gaze upon the minty freshness of this 1972 example of the USDM Sunny B110 on craigslist. According to the seller, the previous owner worked at a Datsun/Nissan dealership for 33 years. Everything is in supposed perfect working order like it was on Day One. This Florida orange sure looks clean enough from the photos, and considering some of the prices on “ran when parked” 1200s, $15000 doesn’t really seem that ridiculous. More photos after the jump.

Thanks to Matt for unearthing this gem.

i dont bielive this car is worth 15K
“ran when parked” 1200’s ive seen go for 350-700 bucks.

Who said I was curious? I’m simply asking the question; who lists a Datsun for $15K without mileage? It’s like ordering a Russian bride without knowing her age. $15K, Ran when parked?! Give me a break!

these ads leave out details all the time. no big deal there. besides, looking at how clean it is, should be able to guesstimate 😉

SR-FairladyZ: This one isn’t a RWP (ran when parked) but I’ve seen 1200s in much worse condition sell for 3-7k.

It is possibly one of the nicest originals still in existence, but I still think the price is a little high, especially in this economy. For that money I would expect a 2 door 510, not the bargain basement 1200. I may be wrong, but I just don’t think the market is there for these cars yet. The best thing about a 1200 was always that it was a lightweight car you could do a rotary swap in as they are not a lot of fun in stock form. So, I will respectfully call this one about $5k too high.
