Japan’s postal service celebrates 50 years of the Z with stamps, postcards

The Nissan Fairlady Z celebrated their 50th anniversary earlier this month, and the country’s official postal service is honoring the milestone. Japan Post has issued a stamp and postcard set commemorating half a century of Nissan’s revolutionary sports car.

The set comes with a set of ten ¥63 stamps depicting the six generations of the Z, from S30 to Z34. Additional stamps show interior of the S30 and Z33 and engine shots of VG- and VQ-series V6 motors.

The stamps come with a folder depicting a chronology of significant points in the model’s history — in the shape of a Z, of course.

The set also comes with ten postcards depicting the the Z generations and the Safari Rally winning 240Z. The whole shebang costs ¥2,200 and is only available in Kanagawa and Yamanashi Prefecture post offices, or on the Japan Post website.
