TUNE UP: E20 Corolla spotted in Bad Bunny and Drake video

There is an E20 Toyota Corolla in the music video for “Mia” by Bad Bunny featuring Drake. The song actually came out late last year, but because we are Teh Olds and hail from a time when a drake was something the Avatar encountered in Ultima VI, we didn’t see the video until the other day. However, the choice of the Peanut parked outside a house party scene was wholly appropriate.

The style of the Corolla shows heavy influence in the style of drag racers from Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny’s home territory. Lowered only slightly on Weld Draglites in a “big ‘n’ little” tire setup, the 2-door hardtop is the perfect doorslammer. It would look right at home with drag bars and a turbo 2T-C. And of course, there’s the Puerto Rican flag hanging from the rear view mirror that the video ends on.

This isn’t the first time a JNC has appeared in a video. Other surprise appearacnes include The Weekend’s FC3S Mazda RX-7, Keith Ape’s Z31 Nissan 300ZX, Justice Fire’s A60 Toyota Celica, and La Roux’s AW11 Toyota MR2.

Thanks to Steve C. for the heads up!

I recently saw a music video by Yuna (?) that had a daruma Celica in it, similar color to this Corolla. Don’t know if it’s new or old MV.
