If a Tree Falls on a Nissan…: Today’s zen koan comes from Australia, where, as Kev informs us, there are indeed trees. And sometimes they upend themselves on some poor sheila’s newly restored Datsun 610. Zoe Michalski had just purchased her “pride and joy” a three months ago and finished some paint and body work. Unfortunately, she then parked it under an unstable 20-meter shrubbery. This happened in a place called Woolloomooloo. We are not making this up.

Ouch, must have been quite painful.

Btw have you heard of dropbears? Quite dangerous in Sydney especially.

    Auch! 🙁
What about the insurance? Will it be covered or is it considered a write-off like they do in the Netherlands?

I think the rule with insurance here is the the car will be written-off if the cost of repairs is more than 75% of the value of the whole car.

The damage doesn’t look THAT bad…but it bodes well for such future incidents, since I think there was only one tree in Wooloomoloo and this would now make it zero trees.
