Yup, I'm an idiot. Was getting some hooning in in the rain and overstepped it a bit. Had a man moment about mid-way through the slide where I thought "Ya, I can save this, aint no thing." That quickly turned into a "Nope, this is gonna hurt."

No injuries and no other cars were involved, just me and a very unforgiving pole. A-pillar, door and rocker all got caught pushing them in and tweaking a lot of strange things. For example, the glove box now doesn't open without a bit of a push. Plans for now are to finish the Mitusbishi, part it out, then use the money from that to get my Skyline going.

Anyways, pics

Yowza! But this is why I drove an AE86. They're so common here I'm not particularly torn up about losing her.
Life marches on, haha.

Thanks for the comments guys, shit happens, haha. Been a long time since I've hit or been hit by anything or anyone in a car. I figure as long as no one got hurt, that's all that really matters.

It's totally getting parted out, haha.
Already got buyers for the headlights, bits of the interior, the motor mounts and trans mount, the cross-member and steering rack, and the brakes.

What is it your friend might be interested in?

But AE86s are even rare in Japan, thats why its totally justified to pay so much Takumi Tax on them.

Haha.

Glad you're unscathed.

Ya, I'm glad you're alright, and the car was no big loss. As I take it apart the rust on it is quite alarming. The rear quarter panels are composed of paper thin rust and a lot of bondo. There are holes in the front shock towers in places where holes probably shouldn't be and so on.

I definitely owe you a beer though, haha.

My girlfriend went to one of those tracks last week, unfortunately her only day off is Friday. The next time she arranges a track day I'll let you know, maybe we can both play hookie and go watch a little 90 pound girl tear up the track in a 20 valve rolla!
