Interesting footage but would you really want one of those? Maybe for shows but not as a daily driver. From a nostalgic point of view, they're kind of cool in a campy sort of way but, at 360cc, those would have to be pretty gutless. _________________

Would I want one? Silly question, of course I would!
Not everyone wants a Hakosuka or Hachi-Roku. _________________ Michael - Collector of Toyotamobilia ~ http://www.toyotageek.com |

I remember seeing models of that built with an indentation for one's surfboard...
I also remember them being renowned for fairly dangerous handling characteristics and paper thin metal, though that hasn't apparently kept them from being Malcolm Bricklin's greatest success...
The only one I've ever seen in real life had atrocious fit issues, but who knows who to blame for that forty years on... I'd love one, a fun car I'm sure, as long as you have something to go faster if you need it |

Why wouldnt I want one! Sure prob not for the daily commute, I do live in the rust belt and I would not want to dodge Ford Excursions on a daily basis, but as a toy...of course! The same reason one of my toys is a 1971 NSU. Small....yes. Kinda ugly......yes. Slow......yes. Cool as hell though.......YES! If every one just drove 240z's, 510's and Celicas the world of nostalgic cars would be a boring place. Dont get me wrong I love those too, but there is just something inherently cool about driving something completely off the wall! _________________ Brad D.

Fair enough. Just wondering where that's at for you. I have a small, cramped, slow, ugly, red one myself and I enjoy the heck out of it but one is enough for me! _________________

I guess I am just a bit of a gluton for punishment. The more ugly, slow, imposible to get parts for cars I have, the happier I am _________________ Brad D.

Not nearly as bad as you would think. It's slow yeah, but it can keep up with traffic fine and cruise at 55-60 easy enough. I've had mine up to 70. You can use it as a daily driver if you drive in town mostly. I drive mine at least a few days a week in nice weather. If you do a lot of highway driving, not so much. _________________ -tom |

As someone who has entered economy run events [61 mpg in my B210] I am impressed with the 66 mpg! That's awesome _________________ '77 Datsun B210 [Hypermiler - 77.04 mpg!]

...My most sadistic want is a B210 (or F10 Cherry). 61 MPG augments that somehow... How does it fare under normal driving in terms of MPG? |

They don't really get 66 mpg. That was just advertising hype. I get in the 40's as do most others. _________________ -tom |
