Good for all!
I will start the restoration of a Datsun 1600 SSS, as it already have it some years ago and was for parts and is one of my worst cars! (this a bit damaged)
But as I like challenges, I will restore you to promenor and also apply some extra season and give you a few taps on the engine, but that the old fashion!
I have practically all the pieces, new and original!
Then put photos of the material ...
Give your opinion!
Now I make some pictures of the car:

I like the orange color. Also, the steering wheel you restored looks great. The 510 looks like a fun project. _________________ --Peter

Nice find
How many of those SSS came to Portugal?
Any 1968 SSS that survived there?
Where did you get that strut brace? _________________

Really
Maybe you can get China made Konig Rewinds
Just have it ordered from a wheel shop
Better yet SSR\Watanabe RS-8 or Black Racing on ebay
Expensive but worth it _________________

Is that how they came in Portugal?
Cause I don't see cluster gause that has oil pressure, volt.. that normally comes on a SSS models.
Maybe cause it's a LHD instead of RHD SSS.
Don't think LHD SSS gauge cluster was ever made.
Never seen one at least.
And it has the dual circuit brake MC, how does it clear the SU filter housing? _________________
