Perhaps a repost, but here's some footage from 1966 to inspire you.

I brought the engine over to a machine shop and found out the crankshaft had a hairline crack. I would be needing a crankshaft, a set of intake and exhaust valves, an overhaul gasket kit and a solex carb repair kit.
Anyone here have any leads on where i could source these parts?

Contact Toysport or a Japanese club. Toyotageek might be able to help with the latter. Also, Maineline Exotics.

wolfcreekracing.com has lots of things for Mikunis.

As I mentioned earlier, http://www.studiotimecapsule.com/ has (or had) head gaskets. The other gaskets you'll have to make yourself, probably - easy to do.

At one point, Toysport had a spare engine which I thought could come in handy, but I never bought. Other than that, I haven't heard of an available engine that did not come already installed in a car. Expect to pay $20,000 or so.

You can probably get the gasket from cometic...I sent you the contact info before. I was able to track down a head gasket from a rare engine before. You might have to send pics of the old one or pattern and they will look it up. I had to convince them that they have it and they searched for days and finally found it.

For anyone interested, here is Shin Yoshikawa's website.
http://www.studiotimecapsule.com/home

Some breathtaking stuff in there including a fully handmade 2000GT body in aluminium. This guy is amazing.
Best part of the website is that because Shin has broken english he put's a lot of photo's up showing some truly awesome work.

i got a head gasket from Shin as well a 1:24 EBBRO scale model.
is the M, 2M or 4M crankshaft the same as the 3M's? If not, can i machine the cranks of these engines to fit the 3M?

Bit late to the party. Not sure about the cranks but at least the M has the same stroke so I'd imagine it could work. Theoretically the 2M crank should fit too, it does have a longer stroke though. With some modification people have been able to fit 7M cranks as far back as into 4M engines so who knows.

It doesn't matter what angle or degree of dismantlement you see this machine in, it's glorious.

You must know you have the greatest wishes of the world of Toyota enthusiasts willing you on.

Doesn't mean it may help you much trying to find one of those door seals!

FYI...There is an exhaust for your car for sale in Yahoo Japan Auction but Nodalos might be able to make an exact copy of it...
