I suppose I'd be one of the few here that can read that article. Thanks for posting. Its always nice to dust off the Swedish.

Back in 2004 I did see a red RX4 coupe driving around in Stockholm (Skogas/Hanninge/Länna omradet). I was desperate to chase them down but we were on our way to a job and I wasn't driving :(

I kept an eye out for it but didn't manage to find it before leaving the country some time later. I dreamt that if I could stay in Sweden that would be MY car.

So to my Swedish JNC enthusiasts you have a good lead to follow. Go out there and track it down. Maybe you can trace it through the registration system provided it doesn't breach privacy laws? *

*....noting that in Norway they publish eveyone's tax details annually so maybe privacy isn't as strict as in Australia.

He's not the car owner... magazine mechanic.

That Rx4 is really nice. I have talked to the owner from time to time.
He also has an Rx5 and some other cars. Non as nice as the Rx4....

I know of a few red Rx4's in the Stockholm area but they are not out much these days...

I know for a fact that a red Rx4 coupe left from Australia over to Swedan. I still might have pics if I look around. Just an bit of trivia for you.

A great car indeed.
Here in Greece there is also a car that fights for the best restored facelift RX4 HT. According to the owner around 40 thousand euros were spent, as everything is brand new besides the ceiling.

Also, the green one is green. Green > all other colours. Disagree with me and be wrong.

Ok, ok. I said one of "the best restored" car. And I fully agree that green cars with that interior are the best. There is one for sale here in Greece for 500 euros but needs so much work (and money) to be restored that I quit flirting with her.

I'm chasing it up with the previous owner that built the car.

not a coupe, but i thought id share a few oldschool pics anyway.
i owned this RX4 sedan back in the mid - late 90's
it was absolutely factory original ( no restoration ) apart from the wheels, everything was stock, even down to the REAPS exhaust.
it was a Jap import, ( so it was Badged a Luce GR-11 ) had clear plastic still on the door trims, 37, 000k on the clock. all the up spec gear the Aus models didnt get, like electric windows, blue cloth interior, Air con, LSD, 8-track and some extra chrome trim (wheel arches, indicator surrounds )
kicking myself for ever selling it. gorgeous car.

Stunning looking car! Love the lines on the side of the body. Mazda should do that again. Looked good on the BMW CS Concept :P
