When I say I'm not gay, I'm married, it's because most guys with a propensity for all things female assume that if a guy doesn't want to see mostly naked woman all over a car he must be gay  But then most gay guys wouldn't be drooling over cars would they  A lot of us have wifes that make us very happy  My wife barely understands my obsession with cars, if she saw ogling some female, it would probably not be good for the very happy  part of our marriage.

I really don't think anyone would have automatically assumed that.

I'm sure there are some gay guys that are into cars.

Somewhere.

:P

I suppose one positive side to it is that they seldom, if ever, position the girls on the cars. Usually they are located in separate stories. :tu:

I typically tend to get a lot of flak if I look at cars more than women, but I'm also a very vocal Christian, and that might have something to do with it :D

I have a friend that is gay that owns and runs a major performance retailer and shop, he also does the majority of the tunes for customer cars also

They are starting to get better. I remember back when, they were the only import mag you could get your hands on (where I grew up anyway) The last few years they seem to be all about sponsored, and corporate backed cars, and the grassroots beginings are long gone :( Let's face it, most of us aren't going to be able to afford bling like that, and truthfully it just makes me mad looking at cars that are unrealistic in real world situations. (that's why I stopped reading Modified Mag) Nowaday's I only pick up Super Street to see if they have anything worthy in their old skool section!

i say the same thing to only mag i like is super street and grassroots motorsports, the only ma i see real world cars no trailer queens...

besides PJ bonifacio, they also interviewed yuta (THAT s30z) and henry (aka asparagus here on JNC forums and the owner of the super lowdown S12). show some support guys!

this was the first issue of a tuner mag i've bought since sport compact car folded. the only other print mags i've bought since have been JNC (of course) and 0-60 mag.

I don't see 0-69 around very often, do they have any JNC content (not that it would make them a bad rag if they didn't, I was just curious)

yeah 0-60 is very hard to find. usually i can only find them in specialty bookstores, not any old supermarket.

i love that mag because they don't feature any particular type of car more than any other. i think in one magazine it had an article about the tunnel clubs in the UK (driving through tunnels as loud as possible in TVR's, lambos, ferraris and the writer rented a lancia delta integrale), driving on the alaskan ice roads in a couple of subarus and a feature on the 9ff gt9r.

always super interesting articles and like JNC, they don't use cheap paper and have crap articles.

im going to go look for an issue when i get off work. it would be nice to see more things like this rather than lame HIN coverage or some car with chrome turbos that doesnt move.

I saw some very brief coverage of JCCS in Modified Mag once, and I don't remember what month, but they had a feature on a Yellow Datsun 510 a while back. That's about it though.

My problem with Super Street is not about women or how old or new the cars are, I just think the whole corperate thing has gotten to their heads, and they've lost their "old skool" cool :)

That sounds good. I wish I could get mike motor when he takes it out. I would love to get a working L28 that fits right into a GC10. I guess I will have to keep buying the SS mags to see all the stuff.

Looks like I'm gonna be buying some more issues of superstreet.

2000gtx, the pictures of your car came out really good. I hope you don't mind if I post some of the them on my hakosuka blog. I'll take them down if you do.

The photographer made a write up of how he was able to get the cool shots . I never realized how much work went in to these kind of shots. He was able to get the moving shot, without using a camera rig. I'll try to practice using his technique. I don't know how it'll come out though.

<a href="http://seanklingelhoefer.blogspot.com/2010/02/false-motion-anti-rig-shot.html">check it out here</a>

Very cool gonna grab a copy this weekend, always loved the "Back in The Day" feature. Sean took some awesome shots of my car in a limited amount of time last year for the December issue.

WOW, that's a lot of work! More than my rookie photographer mind can handle! Does he photoshop everything, or does he get some of those pictures raw? What kind of camera does he use?
