I've seen some like that on ebay before?

Kind of like these: Click!

Never in chrome though, always painted.

I believe those are called Napoleon Bacca, usually fitted to racing olskools back in the days. Very expensive on YJA. They came in various colors of course. I think I have just one in yellow, may not be Bacca but something similar..
There are similarly styled mirrors but I don't know what makes.

This pair sold:

No, I never sold the Bacca, in fact I'm in the search for another one to keep as a pair :)

They look nearly identical to Vitaloni Sebring mirrors, which are available in either black or chrome.

I know Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies sells Vitaloni mirrors. The black Sebrings used to be around $80 each, last time I checked. I'm sure the chrome ones are a bit more. Vitalonis are pretty common, though. You might be able to find another online shop or Ebay seller that has a better price.

Okay, I checked pegasusautoracing.com and they only have the black Sebrings. The price is $79.99 each. However, if you'd rather have the chrome ones, they're available from talbotco.com for $110 for the flat lens version, and $115 for convex. You can also find them a bit cheaper on Ebay, but just search for "vitaloni mirror," and scroll through until you find the Sebrings. None of the auctions seem to label them as "Sebring," even though that's what they are.

Thanks for the help, everyone... I like the low pros in the top pic.

Anyone, know of a style of fender mirror, I don't have to remove the fender to install them? :)

Oh, and I've never had to remove the fenders on anything to install the fender mirrors. You do have to remove the plastic fender liner if your car is so equipped, though.

I like the squarish shape of these. Do you think they'll look good on an 81 Corona?

I think I've heard the rule of thumb when it comes to fender mirrors, is round style for round headlight cars... and square style for square headlight cars. Is that true?

:)

I'm still looking for a nice looking and affordable set of fender mirrors for my 81 Toyota Corona. DF, do you have any pics of your own cars sporting the fender mirrors? Was it an easy install?

Also, do you think fender mirrors would look good on an S12 200sx? I know at the time when the S12 was produced in Japan...83-87(88?) alotta cars were still using them. I'll prolly keep the US mirrors, but always wondered what they'd look like on an S12 Silvia/Gazelle. :)

Now, this is when NOT to use fender mirrors...

I don't think the JDM market Z31s used fender mirrors... or if you're going to put fender mirrors on a 300ZX, at least use some better ones then these weird looking ones...

They look at home on a 77-85 Cadillac, Chevy Impala, Olds Delta 88, Pontiac Catalina, or Buick Electra... NOT on a Japanese sport coupe.

If he wanted to go with those mirrors... he shoulda at least painted the bottom bases white, to blend in more with the fenders... because those bases are way too long and noticable... :td:

I remember them also, on a few of my G-bodies, too... 2 '79 Grand Le Mans', a '78 Le Mans coupe, a '79 Cutlass Supreme, a '79 Monte Carlo, and an '84 Cutlass Supreme Brougham sedan.

Love them cars... except, it's weird that the brake master cylinders went without warning on the '79 Cutlass coupe(going around a rotary in Cape Cod) and the '79 Monte Carlo(going downhill, in the path of another G-body... an 81-87 Buick Regal... luckily, he swerved outta the way). Musta been some shitty QC on the brake assembly line at GM in '79.

I plan on looking for another G-body as soon as I take care of my auto insurance coverage for the 200SX and the Corona. Prolly put antique plates on the Corona and the G-body.

Wanna buy mine? :P I'll let it go if the price is right. G-bodies are awesome cars.
