Looks like there's another 510 movie star!

The Details, starring Laura Linney and Tobey Maguire. Apparently there's a chase involving a 510 vs. Prius!

New York, NY (March 29, 2010) - Samuel Goldwyn Films announced today that it has acquired all U.S. rights to MAO’S LAST DANCER.

The company plans to release the film on August 6, 2010.

MAO’S LAST DANCER is the inspirational true story of dancer Li Cunxin and his extraordinary journey from poverty to international stardom. Based on the best selling autobiography, MAO'S LAST DANCER is a moving story about the quest for freedom and the courage it takes to live your own life. The film beautifully captures the struggle and triumph, as well as the intoxicating effects of first love and celebrity amid the pain of exile.

:) :( = Mixed feelings.

Glad it's finally coming out in a theatre here, pissed I have to wait a full year after my Aussie friends to see it. :P

It's the week before JCCS. Do we need to find an indie theater in L.A. showing it? :P

There surely won't be any shortage of those here. That's a plan!

It is now open in the US in limited release. You'll have to hunt for it if you want to see it though... :P

Hoping it gets a wide release soon, or a US-market DVD release soon... :tu:

Might go to my local "art house" theater this week and see it...
