hey, names sam, from new zealand
just picked this up the other day, a rare nz new suzuki fronte, it has done 80,000km and been off the road for 12 years picked it up for 260 bucks NZD so bit of a bargain in my mind

came with a watercooled engine, not sure of size, hav a 475cc aircooled engine too , came with heaps of spares. doors/back hatch from the green fronte he had, all the glass, stuff you cant get/expensive to make
comes with 4x110 hubs to use on it too with discs up front

what needs to be done:
-brakes sorted
-bit of rust, not too bad, was really happy with its condition
-headgasket made up for watercooled engine. just found out it has been running so not goign to rebuild at this stage.
-little bits and pieces
-new tyres, battery......cant think of much else

thanks guys, gave the interior a big clean, only things wrong are few rips in the seats.
started working on changing the suspension but gave up cause i got sunburnt :P and i couldnt find a bolt for the trailing arm lol i think its in the cabin because the wheel well is so close to the door

have a weird situation with the brake lines, looks like it only needs one line coming from the cylinder but theres two, ones but so will figure that out soonish

@krupkee

Cool car! I love Suzukis. This car technically it looks like the LC10. But the outer shape comes close to the SC100. I dropped a message in PM helping you.

Goodluck with restoration.

i think the watercooled engine is 360cc? but dont quote me on that lol

its a 1974, the watercooled engine is not the original and has a fabbed (rough as) crossmember that came with the car, not sure whether the original watercooled x-member would fit in this model as I dont have it :(

Hi Guys,

My Suzuki Fronte is a LC50 with a 475cc 2 stroke 3 cilinder aircooled engine.
Which is the export model of the Japanese LC10 which has only 360 cc.

Later models like the Fronte 71 and Fronte LC20W Coupe or Cervo came indeed with watercooled engines of 360cc till 475cc. The export Coupe model called SC100GX has the biggest engine 1000cc watercooled.

ahh, I wonder if my engine is infact larger than 360cc.

this is a picture of a guy here in NZ of a 360cc watercooled:
Image

the main difference being the cover for the head on mine is smooth rather than the ribs on that one, also mine is a single carb, my one also comes with cv-joint driveshafts rather than the universal joints

edit: I bought a camera yesterday so I will post up good pics when it arrives :)

yeah I sold it to Mike, and his price is daylight robbery. I sold it to him for 1300 and asked to buy it back but he reckons he has someone that will take it for his 1900 asking price. He has done ABSOLUTELY nothing to it other than sell 2 of the mint 10" tyres it came with and he still wants more. good luck to him.

havnt updated in a while, been focused on me mr2, had a trackday last month just after rebuild.

found a few rare things these days, a brand new headset(including headgasket) for the 360cc watercooled engine :O, a brand new air filter, new water pump, new front brake lines + brakes pads will start going together and hopefully can get a wof(warrant of fitness we need here in nz) and use it as a daily.

haha flatmate brought home this van for his soccer team, pics say it all

as you can see somethings not right with the front suspension, im wonnering if i got given the right springs when i bought it, definitely need a coil or 2 cut out.
pic of the rh suspension is with spring in, lh is with no spring. rh side spring seems to be pusshing down wayyy to much

Image
seems like with susp compressed a bit of camber i might get away with no flares

stock vs new:

speedo definitely will run slower lol gona be getting 155/65/13 after talks with spiderweb. was after 145/65/13 but they are hard to come by
