Congrats on the purchase. I'm guessing the decals are not original?

Thanks for the information. Great.
But my front is different. Look here:

Image

Which Leone model has this front? And my number plate on the rear is over the bumper not under, and my turn signal on the front is not in the bumper. ??
The car is no US spec.

That might be a Israeli spec model. But I just want to say you are very lucky to find one and welcome home!

Hello,
Israeli model ? The car was first sold in Netherland. Is it possible that Subaru sold a Israeli spec in Netherland ?

regards
Arno

It could be possible. And with that said it could just be a euro-spec model but I have seen a Israeli spec car like that before and it looked the same

The most remarkable detail on Arnos car are the Bumpers with the Indicator/position Lamp above. Neither the Asian-Spec-cars got these Bumbers, neither the US-Cars got that. And the Pictures of IsraelCars I found were looking different. Do you have a picture or source of an other car like this "getting lost" European Export...?

it has been a long while since I had seen it cause it was on another board, namely the USMB (Ultimate Subaru Message Board) which I have not frequented in a long time

Arno, when you want to know the exact story about the car you bought, you should contact Garage Huisman in Twello, in the Netherlands.

They have been the owner of the car for the past (i think) twenty years.
They have also made the car like this. The story i know is that they made this car with parts of a car which was not from the Netherlands.

I am sure that Jan Huisman (the owner of the company) can tell you the right story.

Huisman has been Subaru dealer from 1973 till 2003. They still are a Subaru specialist.

He and his family also have some fantastic Subaru's: a 73 1400 DL, two 1400 GSR's, an XT and a blue and a white SVX!

They have a website: www.garagebedrijfhuisman.nl

I hope i have helped you a little bit.

Now the car is in my garage. The car is complete in every thing is ok. Only the wiper engine doesn´t work. I spend the car new tires. 205-60-13 is a good size. And the first 80 km drives the car without problems.
I was by the dealer in Netherland who sales the car in 1977. He told me that the car was restored in 1997 and they install bumpers from a US model. The exhaust system was build from the Subaru dealer. Also he install the Nardi steering and the Wolfrace rims.
Here a pic:

Hi,
I think is the wiper motor because nobody use the wipers in the last 10 years. When i try to turn on the wipers, the motor will be very hot. Tomorrow i look inside in this little thing. I hope it´s only rotten.

regards
Arno

ok it might be just that the gearbox is needing some lubrication, just crack it open and take a look inside
