Hi guys,

Been a long time since I posted on here. Work commitments and the purchase of a new house has definitely taken it's toll on my play time.

Just wanted to share some pic's of my new addition to the collection. As I sit here and type this post, this little baby is on the back of a truck making it's way across Australia.

I'm not going to type any more info for now, just let the pic's do the talking :) (Pic's taken are from the seller, I will add more once I take delivery)

Regards
Dave

What? Not Alto or Fronte, just 'Hatch'? AND a digital odometer? Very cool purchase!

Thanks for the kind comments guys. It can only be a matter of days now before I get the phone call from the transport company to let me know it has arrived at the depot. Can't wait till I get to pick it up.

Regards
Dave

Hi Michiel, Suzuki Australia did not use the Alto nameplate until the later model. They were simply sold as the Suzuki Hatch, as a commercial vehicle (no rear seats) and managed to avoid import tariffs.

The VX was the deluxe version, which meant it picked up the nicer cloth trim and also the digital speedometer. I'm hoping I can pick up an original sales brochure for the model I have just purchased, just to find out exactly what was additional in the VX model.

Regards
Dave

Thanks guys,

I'm happy to report the Suzuki has made the trek across Australia safe and sound, here are a couple of pic's from the day it arrived

I hope to take some pic's soon so I can update this post

This is my other Suzuki Hatch (seen here earning it's keep), which I use as a farm hack. Unfortunately rust has really attacked this one.

Thanks for the offer on the workshop manual, I know there was a manual included with the blue one when I bought it. PM me your email address and we can compare notes :)

Regards
Dave

I had to give the Hatch a clean up last weekend so took the opportunity to get some more photos

What a fine couple they make

Love the side profile ..... just wish I could locate some 12" chrome wheel trims

Well, all clean now so it's back in the shed for safe keeping

Wow, my shed looks huge .......

That is until you park a normal size car in there

Heya Tim, there is even a sticker on the back window confirming Rocket status

The guy who owns the tray top couldn't believe the condition of the Hatch. First thing he said when he got here was "Where the hell did you find that?"

Was the Condor nameplate used in Australia ?,

Dave

Welcome to JNC, look forward to seeing pic's of your Hatch. I didn't know the Hatch was still on the market in '85, is it an SS80V ??

Can't help out with parts at the moment, but if you want to PM me your email address I can keep in touch and let you know if anything happens along. And no, not selling mine :)

Regards
Dave
