 OMG lastnight I snaped my Drivers side Axle (left side shaft)
And I have no clue where to get a new one?

Are they repairable? Can I have it welded and turned?

I know where I can get a rear end from an arrow pickup can i use it's
axles as a replacement? but it's 8lug??? :?

Does anybody have one I can buy or know of a location I can pick one up! Name your price! If you can pick one up in your area and broker it to me, I'm game... I need one bad! :(

Help I'm in dire straights!
I'll post pic's as soon as I pull it apart and start the repair......

http://www.car-part.com

In the pull down menu, I used
1978
Plymouth Arrow-car
axle shaft
USA

That should get you there. It works for me. I tried to direct link but it won't let me.

Mark

If you still can't find it, here's one:

Yeager Auto Salvage, Arkansas (Harrison) 1-800-632-2960
Stock# TIM454, LH AXLE, $25

there were TONS of them on there, though...

If the Arrow pick up axle is the same length/spline count as the regular arrow, just get the stud pattern welded and get it redrilled in 4 x 114.3

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. That really sucks. Especially since that was the rare Direct Connection LSD job, wasn't it?

Uh, I would suggest going to a junkyard and grabbing a complete rear end from a Challenger/Sapporo.

And hey, if you find one with a 2.6 then the rear end will come with disc brakes, so that's a plus.

looks like the actual unit is fine. I'd think you would be pok using that.It broke after the splines. Clean it up and toss a new bearing on maybe. If thats lsd and you dont end up using it, let me know. I may try to salvage it.

No it turns out it's not an LSD, I thought it was due to the both wheels due nice burly burnouts
If you look at the center (the chewed bit) that's the diff carrier part that the bearing is pressed on to.. the 2nd ring (broken one) is the inner bearing race...
It's not worth the salvage.. :td:
I found one out of North Carolina for $120 :?
But if your willing to part with yours i would be your Best Friend

you are probably better off getting the one for 120. I really dont want to tear down my other axle.

I thought that diff looked open, but I wasnt sure lol.
