here is my 323 i bought in 07 off cameron.....

plans are for it to be all original, just restored nicely, no rotary or anything like that (yet).

heres how it was .Pretty clean original car, 90% original paint, with just a few dents here and there....

All striped down here, working on bay, welded up a few holes, and removed jack loctaion bracket for smoother apearance...

Image

Engine bay done....

Image

Roof done here

Image

bare metaling panels...

Image

My lower apron on the rear was damaged a fair bit.....

Image

Unpicking it to repair off the car , makes it easier...

Image

All repairs done here, few dents on each quater, then etch primered before polyestor...

Image

polyestore all blocked down, and car in hi fill.

Im working on the doors and panels at the moment, when i could be bothered after hours..................will post more pics when i get some more done on it.

Fantastic, looks a a really thorough and well done job :tu:

You'd be hard pushed to find anyone in the UK prepared to spend that much time and effort on one of these cars I fear :|

Great to see it being restored! Especially it being a 5dr model, most people only put money and effort into 2/3dr versions of any given model.

Some other interesting cars in that workshop too?

A serial car-buying friend has recently bought this bug-eye 323 auto, very scarce now in the UK.

yes...christmas and new years are a great time to get stuff done, without people bothering you....

I got my 4 doors bear metaled, and repaired...and in polyestor.
i let them sit for a few days, rubed all the insides, and so on and got them all in hi fill.

Then prepared all the door jams for paint, and got them done. tomorow ill go in and bolt them all up,so they are out of the way,and dont get damaged.

Next ill do the engine bay....

Got all my doors bolted up today....they are not lined up 100% yet, but i just wanted them all out of the way, so im not moving them around all the time, and risking damage. Its back to work for me tomorow, so it will be a few weeks before i work on it again.
engine bay is next.

OMG

Now I know what the others feel if they see the restoration of my Daihatsu Charade G10 from 1981.

GREAT!!!

In my case it is also the same, most people restore the 3 door version, not the 5 door version as I restore it.

Did you really got new screws? I give a lot of screws and other parts to galvanize....

Here you can see the complete story/restauration

You did or better you DO a great job!

Never give up! :)

Nice work boys, good to see another 323. Hey just a note(you probably know anyhow), have a look under that damn sound deadning under where the wiper motor and arms sit. All three I've had and this one, rust underneath it right where the firewall and the drain panel are welded. Lovely little water leak!

Sweet, I must just be unlucky, I don't have a lot there, just enough to have remove the bloody dash and repair it! My rocket, its the bug eye but is an SS with the 5 guage dash including tacho, but running an Auto. It also has front and rear wipers and both are intermittent. I haven't seen an early one like it, only the square light version.

I've seen a couple, just not with an auto thats all and the wipers were interesting too. My 1985 deluxe 3 wagon doesn't do that!
