Hi,

Anyone familiar wz this 5M-GE ?

1) Does this engine require more than 4 litres of engine oil ?

I ask this bcuz my foreman just put a 4 litre and check the dipstick and he said ok. He's yooung chap wz a little experience plus never saw or mingle wz a 5M-GE before, i think the engine is older than him....hehe

2) Does this auto transmission require only 2 litres of ATF fluid for a
normal service ?
How much does it need for a full flush ?

Rgds

5qt of ATF for a flush too.

I should add that the ATF flush assumes you are going to lose some in the flushing process.

You can use Type-F fluid in a Dexron/Mercon app...it will just make it shift a bit firmer, because it does not have the friction modifier package of D/M.

These so called "racing" ATF's are just Type F with a custom dye added.
