So I bought another car. Not the usual brand that seems to find it's way to me but I saw it and adored it and made it mine. It needs some work as you'll see but I'm pretty happy with it.

Here's a few pictures and you can read a bit about it on my blog, here (discovery inspection) and here (retrieval)

The shell looks straight. Never seen one on our roads, only the wheels 'cos those were fitted to some old Daihatsu miniature vans that were sold here. Probably same engine as well - 360cc 2-cylinder.

Yeah, that's the one! 8)

Are those wheels plentiful where you are? I could do with two more rims. They're a 2-piece design that bolts together and then onto the weird hub.

No, they were are and obviously much rarer now. I'll keep my eyes opened for the wheels. A relative used to have one of the vans but it was already scrapped. What's the wheel diameter? 10 inches?

Sorry, I keep forgetting to update this. I guess that's part of the problem of having 4 classic cars on various forums all over the globe.

I have managed to get the engine running, just needs a few tweaks, have to get onto the brakes and then the welding in of new steel. Despite the original ad stating there was no rust, sadly there was.

To be expected, I'm well used to finding such things now.

This is probably the latest photo I have and there's another few videos on youtube and some bits and pieces on my website;

I had one of these in green, I brought it off an old couple for $150, if you pulled the hand brake it did 360s because it was so lite.
I pulled up at the lights one night for fun and the guy in an Accord reved his engine..I was laughing but when he stalled it the 360 zoomed off.
I gave it to a chick to use for 6 months and she gave it away and some muppets wreaked it down the river :x

Fun wee cars.
