Picked it up at a show here in the UK some years ago, maybe 2001? If I was offered a large amount of money I would probably sell it, but it does contain nice examples of C210/211 which are close to my heart. As you can probably see, there are two versions of each car, and for C210/211 they did both round and rectangular light versions.

I'm currently working my way through the Ebbro Oldies range but I also like these 1/64 cars from Tomica in their Limited Vintage and Neo range. I have these on another forum but I thought you guys would like to see them too :D

The level of detail has to be seen to be believed on a model that is barely 2 inches long! Some unusual subjects too which are seldom seen in 1/43rd which is my normal thing.

The copper Gloria is beautiful as are these two Skyline saloons from the days when a dump valve had yet to see the light of day!

Isuzu Bellett which is more normally seen in Coupe form as a model:

Same can be said for the Hino Contessa - this one is a beauty:

Image

One of my faves is this C30 Nissan Laurel:

The Hillman Minx built under license by Isuzu:

This Mazda Carol is so tiny!!

Toyopet Corona

Three oddballs in a row:

One of the best in Tomica's Limited Vintage range is this early 70s Galant. I had to get both colours of this one:

Image

Here's the Galant with a late 70s Corolla (I'm rubbish at Toyota model codes, I only know KE10!!):

Image
Image
Image

There are also some 80s cars in their Neo range such as this Mazda 929 variant:

Image

And this amazingly detailed JDM spec Corolla. Check out the 16-valve badge on the rear window!!

These two are by Konami, 710 Violet SSS:

Toyota Starlet

there came build or you had to build them and were do you find it

Those are 1/64 scale (like Matchbox) and they are sold as is, no assembly required. The detail is amazing given the size. As for getting them... maybe some of the diehard diecast heads can chime in.

Aside from flying to Japan, you can try Hobby Link Japan and Toyeast, as well as just searching on eBay where there are a number of sellers. I think Toyeast has a better selection of Tomica, but I have never bought from them. Look under Tomica, and then Tomica LV. If you search eBay, narrow your search by scale.

Good luck!

Nice models but guess what?! I pulled out of my driveway the other day as a old car pulled out of the one across the street. "Nice looking holden" I thought to myself as glanced at it over my shoulder. Went out on the street, had a proper look and my mouth drop to the ground as it was this model Nissan Gloria but in factory white with a sun visor!! :shock: I just sat there eyes wide open as the older guy looked at me rather funny, (frightened) gave me a wave, as I tryed to wave back and stop him, and drove off... Dam I wish I'd been driving my Cedric!! It was seriously cool, as I thought they'd be seriously little number of them over here, let alone on the road after all these years. Sorry, borring story and totally off topic but had to tell someone. This model brought it up.

Yeah I know!! Was kind of was confused / gob smacked that'd there'd be another one (cedric/gloria), let alone a earlier model than mine less than 20 metres away from each other!! Just sat there watching him drive away wondering if I should chase him, but he was out with his family, and thought against it for some silly reason. Dag namit!

On that vain of thought though, got asked if I wanted to sell mine by the folks at Bay Nissan today. They hadn't seen one before and loved it. "No thanks." :lol:

:roll: Doesn't that mean he lives across the street, like... a neighbor? Or, at the least, a friend of a neighbor?... so maybe you could still walk over to the house & ask? :wink:

Sorry for the off topicness too BTW. He came out of a long right of way / street, so I'd have to go from house to house. Don't know if the neighbours would be too stoked me be nosey about their friends cars. But getting back on topic, I'll post up some pics of my new diecasts in a bit. A 80's Corona Grande and a soarer

Yeah mate. How'd you know? Here's a few of my newest:

Soarer: (Love the upside down spoiler under the rear bumper) I may modify this one in the future)

And what I would believe is a Corona Grande Coupe, with SSR Mark I type rims.

Cool! I'm not familiar with those Aoshimas. That means I've got questions! :roll:
What series was it?
Do you have any pictures of the packages they came in?
Do you know what other cars are in the series?
:P
Guess I better start looking on Yahoo Japan!

You've done it now. Toyotageek will not rest until he finds them :D

If the white/pink Soarer in the background is any indication, they're part of the Shakotan Boogie series by SK Japan.

Good luck navigating through the stuffed animals though. :x

That pink and white one isn't a soarer, I think it was pointed out as a cressida, but your right, that model is from the Shakotan Boogie series. These two are from a different bunch that feature 4 toyota's measureing in at 1/64 scale. They include the '81 soarer, '84 GX71 (cressida?), '81 MA61 which I think is the Celica XX and the '79 Corona Grande. All avalible in 3 different colours including two tone.

And here's a photo I found of the box. Image

My mistake, the car in the photo was too blurry, at least that's my excuse. :) I like the black car though. GX71 should be a Mark II, which is essentially a Cressida w/o the 5M.

The cars are:
MZ10 = 1981 Soarer
GX71 = 1984 Mark II
MA61 = 1981 Celica XX
MX41 = 1978 Chaser

Image

During our searching we found some stuff on Yahoo Auctions also... seems there are 4 secret cars, They sell for a bit more than the regulars:

Image

Then, we found a seller with the Shakoten Boogie series, but I chose not to get that just yet. I don't collect non-Toyota, so I'll wait to get any cars in this set.

Image

Another seller has a better picture, but wait, what's that? Those cars look a little different...

Image

Ahhhh, turns out this seller is just selling exhaust pipes!

Awesome! What a hassle having to buy them in from overseas though!! I'm just going to custom make mine, and see how they turn out
