Agreed. Stock offsets were in the +38 range IIRC. A 15x7 in the +25 to +30 range would fill out the fenders nicely without too much fear of rubbage.

so like a 15x7 and +38 would prob not have too many issues? idk what wheel source is the best im going to go through jdmcarboy.com they have alot of old school and just jdm in general rims. do you have a picture of that euro front end? is it the one that has the painted bumber that looks lower?

anything above about +40 and 6.5" wide will probably need spacers in the back to keep the tires from rubbing the struts.

I'm glad you didn't go with the coilovers, those things can be brutal on the street. I have owned those B&Gs on an ae92 actually, but I strongly recommend purchasing better struts expecially if your's are still the stockers. they'll bottom out a lot and will be a terrible ride, dont ask me how I know. Probably even if you went with KYBs it would be significantly better.

Those rotas would look nice. I also have a soft spot for drag dr20s, when I had my ae92 I always wanted a set. (first picture taken from TN, user ae92boi)

That was the most succesful 'rolla to sell here, and I must admit my fav gereration of it(though I own an E110). An example in decent(not excellent) condition would still fetch EUR2500-3000! and the basic version.

As for wheel choice I go for the ones in the top pic. there are quite a few around with them. Will post pics should I come across one

thanks for the feed back...im still rollin stock suspension right now due to lack of time and effort but im saving for shocks so when i swap em ill throw on my drop springs and it should be nice. also need helpon my install the two bol5ts on the back/bottoom of the strut are torqued on and basically impossible to remove...i bent three wrenches on that bitch...so anyone with advice id appreciate it. i know ill enjoy the car much more once its lowered

also i have to pump the gas pedal or the car wont start in the morning and it runs sluggish until its a little warmed up. any advice?

oh and i need to get a new muffler mine is rattling and squeaking....soooo will a 2door ae92 exhaust kit have the same fitment on my 4 door? i couldnt find the exhaust diagrams

Assuming it's got a carburetor? If so, I'd say your choke quit working.

Yep good old 4AF. 88' is the worst year IMO. Because if you didn't get a 2 door GTS you were stuck with a 4af while the 4afe is so much the better. You need a carb rebuild or you can spring for a weber but since you have an automagic, no real point. Make it a nice cruiser but don't expect much in the way of proformance unless you do a 5 speed swap at the very least. Yes the AE92 suspension is the same throughout the models. It can even be changed out with AE82 strut and spring wise.

how about for the exhaust? i want more than a muffler but dont want to pay for a custom fab job

Honestly, if you're talking about something from the manifold back, custom/muffler shop stuff is usually cheaper than off-the-shelf stuff. A good muffler shop ought to be able to set you up for $200 or so.

I have an SR5 coupe, if your looking for springs try Ebay. Try even typing in AE92 Trueno for parts also.

nice. got some stufff done today and have been saving my money... so upcoming soon is gonna be my struts and springs/wheels tires.....and i have yet another question. we all know my car is a fwd if i was to do a swap on the motor to a 4age from a gt-s but the tranny i wanna use is a 5 speed rwd.....am i dreaming too big? i would be able to afford the parts but id have to pay for labor.

FWD to RWD? Yeah, you are dreaming a lil on the big side. LOL

I guess anything can be done if you got the right amount of food stamps. Hehee

Nice car of choice. There are a lot of possible mods for the car. Engine wise, we usually debate in choosing all stock 4AGE Blacktop, 4AGE Silvertop, 4AGZE or 4EFTE. All of them would fit with just minor modifications. If you want to go all the way, you might want to try 4AGTE (4AGZE fitted with a turbo) or 7AGE (4AGE head+7AFE block). We even have some here who fitted 3SGE Redtop Beams or 3SGTE on this chassis.

As far as rims are concerned, I would suggest getting Watanabe RS8's, SSR Mk2's or 15' Tom's New Actions. Its 15' +38 offset paired with 195/50/R15 Tires. Those would look great on your car. Here are some sample pics:
