Sadly this trend is pretty popular in Detroit. Since most can't afford to actually get the wheels, you see a lot of just lifted stock '80s and '90s Caprices and Crown Vics rolling around. They use lift kits meant for S-10s on the Caprices, and then they just save for the wheels. There's two stores on 8 Mile called "Hot Wheel City" that are basically a huge glass fascade of giant bling wheels surrounded by neon lights.
